Jason Wallin
This research is part of a master's thesis project by Jason M. Wallin. Jason is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Central Washington University (CWU) and a graduate student in Experimental Psychology.
Jason has been working for young children with special needs and typical development for more than a decade, as a paraprofessional in the Oak Harbor School District and as a private tutor, program consultant, and educator. Jason founded the popular Polyxo.com, a site devoted to teaching children with autism.

Mary Lee Jensvold, Ph.D.
Dr. Jensvold is Jason's graduate advisor and chair of his thesis committee. She is assistant professor in CWU's Department of Anthropology. She is associate director of the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute on CWU's Ellensburg campus. She specializes in the ethological studies of animals, verbal and non-verbal communication, animal intelligence, and culture. Her studies have included conversational behaviors, topic maintenance, phrase development, private signing, imaginary play, and representational drawing in chimpanzees.
